Communication Consent:
By submitting a contact form, you consent to PSC contacting you via phone, email, and text for inquiry support and order assistance.
Pricing:
Most repairs take 1-4 hours, typically $125-$300 (excluding parts). Estimates provided before work begins.
Diagnostic & Service Charges
• $45 minimum service charge for all service calls and diagnostics
• $50-$100 travel fee may apply for on-site calls based on distance
On-Site Service
$125/hour with 1-hour minimum for repairs, consultations, and troubleshooting at your location.
In-House Service:
$75-$125/hour depending on repair type. Services include data recovery, system tune-ups, optimization, deep cleaning, virus removal, hardware repairs, and overclocking. We recommend dropping off items at our office or scheduling a pickup.
Remote Assistance:
By requesting remote assistance, you consent to Pro Spec Computers gaining full control of your computer for diagnostic and repair purposes. While we strive to resolve all issues, repairs are not guaranteed. Pro Spec Computers is not responsible for any data loss that may occur during remote assistance, and a data backup and restore point are highly recommended before connecting. A non-refundable minimum deposit of $50 is required to begin service, followed by a charge of $75 per hour for additional time. A 1-hour minimum will be billed upon completion of service.
Pickup & Transportation:
Pickup service available. Before pickup: note item condition for your records and contact us to schedule.
Payment & Billing:
• Payment due in full before item return
• All charges itemized on invoice (service fees, parts, labor, taxes)
• Local sales tax added to all charges
Unresolved Issues:
If repair is unsuccessful, only the $45 diagnostic fee applies—no additional labor charges.
Data Protection & Liability:
We strongly recommend backing up data before any repair. While we take every precaution, PSC is not responsible for data loss during repairs, not liable for pre-existing conditions or unforeseen issues, and lost data may be unrecoverable.
Agreement:
By using Pro Spec Computers' services, you agree to these terms. Terms may be updated as needed. Service-specific terms discussed before work begins. Questions? Contact us for clarification.
COMPUTER POLICY:
If you are not satisfied with your PC, please contact us to find a resolution. We provide the utmost transparency and want you to be happy with your purchase. We will make every attempt to ensure all questions or complaints are resolved.
If your PC arrived damaged or not as described, PSC will take full responsibility and remedy the situation at no cost after a full investigation.
If you choose to return your PC due to not being satisfied, we will accept returns within 7 days. This is considered a "buyers remorse" return. You will be responsible for shipping costs. We will provide a discounted shipping label or you may provide your own. The PC must be shipped back in the original packaging and be free from damage. A 20% restocking fee will be imposed based on the total original price of the PC or item. The buyer will be responsible for any items not returned and must cover replacement if necessary.
For custom orders: once the order is placed and paid for, full refunds are NOT provided. Contact us immediately if you must cancel an order.
Orders placed VIA financing are non-refundable.
Transaction Processing Fees:
For any canceled orders, a 6% transaction processing fee will be applied to cover the costs associated with payment and refund processing. This fee is non-refundable and applies regardless of whether the item has shipped or not.
Deposits:
All deposits for goods are non-refundable if the customer changes their mind. Orders will be held for 30 days. If the order is not paid in full and picked up or shipped according to the terms agreed upon with PSC, the customer forfeits the deposit, and the item will be considered property of PSC. By placing a deposit, you agree to these terms.
HARDWARE & COMPONENTS POLICY:
At Pro Spec Computers, we offer limited returns for computer components such as CPUs, GPUs, PSUs, SSDs, RAM, motherboards, cases, cables, and other parts. Please review the following terms:
Defective Products:
Returns are accepted only for defective components. Contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). The item must be returned in its original packaging, free from physical damage, and include all original accessories.
Verification of Defect:
Once returned, Pro Spec Computers will inspect and test the component. If a defect is verified, we will provide a replacement or repair at our discretion. If the issue is determined to be user error or misuse, the customer may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, and shipping charges will not be refunded.
Non-Refundable Items:
All sales are final after 24 hours from the time of invoice. Orders that have been processed or shipped cannot be canceled. Improper installation, overclocking, or any damage caused by misuse will void the return.
Shipping Responsibility:
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend insuring the shipment, as Pro Spec Computers will not be liable for damage or loss during transit.
Warranty Terms:
By purchasing components from Pro Spec Computers, you agree to the terms of this policy.
USB SOFTWARE POLICY:
Pro Spec Computers offers limited returns for USB software only in cases where defects are verified by our team. Please review the following terms carefully before initiating a return or warranty claim:
Defective Products: Returns are accepted only if the USB software is found to have a verified defect. To initiate a return, you must contact Pro Spec Computers for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form. USB software must be shipped back in its original packaging, free from physical damage, and include all items received.
Verification of Defect: Once the returned USB software is received, Pro Spec Computers will conduct an inspection to determine whether the issue is a defect or the result of user error. If a defect is verified, the customer may receive a replacement or repair at the discretion of Pro Spec Computers.
User Error :If it is determined that the issue is due to user error, the customer will be subject to a 20% restocking fee based on the total cost of the USB software. In such cases, shipping charges will not be refunded, and the customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the item.
Shipping Responsibility: The customer is responsible for shipping the item back to Pro Spec Computers. We recommend insuring the shipment, as Pro Spec Computers will not be responsible for any damage or loss incurred during shipping.
Shipping Policy for listings:
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct shipping option for their area. If the wrong option is chosen and the customer declines to pay the difference, the order will be canceled and refunded minus any non-refundable processing fees (typically 3–6% of the total).
CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PARTS POLICY:
Pro Spec Computers (PSC) offers assembly services for computers using customer-supplied components. By requesting this service, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Compatibility & Functionality
• The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all provided parts are compatible and functional.
• PSC will not troubleshoot, replace, or refund non-working or incompatible components.
• If a part is found to be defective or incompatible during assembly, the customer must provide a working replacement, or PSC will supply the part at an additional cost.
2. Liability & Warranty
• PSC is not responsible for pre-existing defects, damage, or malfunctions in customer-supplied parts.
• Any damage caused by defective, incompatible, or improperly handled parts is not covered under PSC’s warranty.
• PSC does not provide warranties for customer-supplied components. Any warranty claims must be handled directly with the original manufacturer.
3. Workmanship Warranty (1 Year, Labor Only)
• PSC provides a 1-year workmanship warranty that only covers labor and issues directly associated with the original build process performed by PSC.
• This warranty does not cover part failures, user modifications, software issues, or problems unrelated to the original assembly.
• Any repairs or modifications performed by the customer or a third party void this warranty.
• If an issue is determined to be unrelated to PSC’s workmanship, standard troubleshooting and repair fees will apply.
• 1 year technical support is included with the build service.
4. Assembly & Service Fees
• A standard build fee applies, which varies depending on the complexity of the system.
• If troubleshooting is required due to customer-supplied parts, additional service fees may apply.
• Any incompatible or missing parts will be added to the final bill if the customer does not provide a replacement.
5. Full System Stress Testing & Optimization
• Every build includes full system stress testing and optimization to verify stability and thermal performance.
• Overclocking of the CPU, GPU, or RAM is not included and must be requested separately as a paid service.
6. No Responsibility for Customer-Modified Parts
• PSC will not be responsible for any user-modded or pre-opened components (e.g., delidded CPUs, flashed GPUs, used SSDs with unknown health conditions).
• If a part fails during assembly due to prior modifications, the customer assumes full responsibility.

RMA: Please contact us at the email or phone number listed above to start the RMA process.
You will receive a RMA form if your issue is warranty related.
Please note, without this form filled, we cannot process your RMA request.
Products that are sent without an RMA number will be refused.
WHAT IS COVERED: Pro Spec Computers warrants that the hardware products it sells are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty also covers damage due to shipping of products to you. This warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power, acts of third parties, acts of nature, negligent use, operator error, tampering, temperature or electrical stresses, damage or data loss due to a virus, trojan horse, worm, data or memory corruption to do such, improper removal or replacement of components or cables, alteration of the build from its original configuration, improper overclocking or undervolting, improper voltages, moisture, foreign objects, improper working conditions, high voltage surges, servicing not authorized by Pro Spec Computers, usage not in accordance to normal use, failure to perform preventative maintenance, including but not limited to backups, and problems caused by use of software, parts and components not supplied by Pro Spec Computers. This warranty does not cover software, external devices; accessories or other parts added to a Pro Spec Computers system after the system is shipped from Pro Spec Computers; or accessories or parts that are not installed in the Pro Spec Computers facility. Keyboards that are on the original sales invoice from Pro Spec Computers are covered; all other peripheral items such as monitors, keyboards, mice, and cables are not covered.
LENGTH OF WARRANTY: Unless otherwise stated on the listing, workmanship warranty term for new desktop computer systems purchased from Pro Spec PC is (1) year beginning on the date of the sales invoice. Keyboards carry a (3) month warranty from the date of the sales invoice. See more details below. The customer is responsible for keeping a copy of the records should an extended warranty be offered on a product.
DEAD ON ARRIVAL - REPLACEMENT POLICY: All builds are warrantied against DOA issues. This only applies to units that arrive in non-working condition within 24 hours of the delivery time. You must immediately contact us at sales@prospecpc.com or at 505-427-3567 to inform us of these issues, otherwise a claim may not be accepted. If we determine the unit is defective, you will be entitled to a replacement or refurbish at the discretion of Pro Spec Computers. Please note these claims can take some time to resolve with the shipping manufacturer. If your delivery was a local delivery, issues must be reported as stated above.
COMPUTERS: All computer builds carry manufacturer warranties on their individual components. These vary in term and coverage. The claim process will be resolved between Pro Spec Computers and the manufacturer if the defect is considered manufacturer error. If a claim is not able to be resolved, we will contact you with other solutions. PSC may need to be in possession of your product to process these claims.
This warranty covers only defects related to manufacturer failure, and will not cover any misuse or abuse by the customer, (see what is covered in the above section). In addition to the “what is covered” section above, if a computer is found to be dirty, stained, abused, neglected, or contain any signs of liquid damage or misuse, all warranties for workmanship and manufacturer error are void.
KEYBOARDS: All keyboard builds carry manufacturer warranties with varying terms and coverage. The claim process will be resolved between Pro Spec Computers and the manufacturer if the defect is considered manufacturer error. If a claim is not able to be resolved; we will contact you with other solutions. PSC may need to be in possession of your product to process these claims. This warranty covers only defects related to manufacturer failure, and will not cover any misuse or abuse by the customer, (see what is covered in the above section). In addition to the “what is covered section”, if keyboards are found to be dirty, stained, abused, neglected, or contain any signs of liquid damage or misuse, all warranties for workmanship and manufacturer error are void.
WORKMANSHIP: All Computers are covered by a (1) year workmanship warranty, and keyboards are covered by a (3) month workmanship warranty. This warranty includes defects strictly related to the assembly process. This warranty is up to the discretion of Pro Spec PC and is not a guarantee that all issues will be covered unless they can be proven that the issue in question was failure due to assembly by the technician. Refer to the “what is covered” section for details.
USED COMPONENTS: At Pro Spec Computers, we may, at our discretion, incorporate used components into certain builds. These used components have undergone thorough testing and are guaranteed to be in working condition. However, it is important to note that the warranty for products containing used components may differ from our standard warranty. The specific warranty details for products with used components will be clearly stated on the product page for the respective item. Customers are encouraged to review the individual product pages for accurate and detailed warranty information pertaining to the used components included in their purchase. This approach allows us to provide cost-effective solutions while ensuring transparency about the warranty terms associated with products containing used components. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the warranty for a particular product, please do not hesitate to contact us for clarification.
TECH SUPPORT POLICY: Pro Spec Computers includes LIFETIME support of your PC system. LIFETIME is defined as the life of the system in an unaltered state and is only applicable to the original purchaser. It does not continue if the system is sold or modified. Issues will be handled at the discretion of Pro Spec Computers & a resolution is not guaranteed. Pro Spec Computers will not be held responsible for issues that cannot be resolved, or any issues caused by the consumer due to negligence, misuse, or abuse. We reserve the right to decline technical assistance at our discretion at any time and for any reason.
IF YOUR ISSUE IS UNDER COVERAGE: Upon Pro Spec Computer’s consent, we will repair or replace products returned, in their original or equivalent packaging, to Pro Spec Computer’s facility. To request warranty service, you must contact us within the applicable warranty period. In order to obtain a RMA you must first speak with a representative, we can be reached at the contact info above. We will then take you through the steps of obtaining an RMA if deemed necessary. Please have your invoice number, date of purchase, and a description of the problem ready when you call. Once your warranty period is verified and you have gone through all of the necessary trouble-shooting, Pro Spec Computers will then issue you an RMA clearance. Products that are not defective will be returned to the sender with C.O.D. freight charges collect.
WARRANTY RETURNS: Local pick ups within 20 miles are free. You must have your item packaged in the original box or similar and ready for pick up with all items exactly as sent to you. Contact us to obtain a discounted shipping label if you are outside of the local pick up area. Ship the product back to Pro Spec Computers in the original or equivalent packaging. All returns for exchange or refund must be complete with all of the components, manuals, cables, and static bags, just as you received it. If the product is not returned in its entirety or damaged without insurance, then you may be charged for the missing/damaged items. We recommend you back up any data before shipping your system. We are not responsible for lost data.
REPAIR OF YOUR SYSTEM: Pro Spec Computers owns any and all parts removed from the repaired products. We use new and or reconditioned parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and building replacement products. If we repair or replace a product, the warranty term is not extended.
SHIPPING DAMAGE AND DISCREPANCIES: If you receive your order with incorrect or missing components, you must notify Pro Spec Computers within 24 hours of receipt. In the event of shipping damage, notify the shipping carrier immediately and request a damage report, and also notify Pro Spec Computers immediately at the contact info above.
NON-TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY:
Our warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Any claims or repairs for products owned by a subsequent owner are the responsibility of that owner. Pro Spec Computers will offer repairs and services to third-party purchasers at our standard rates.
PRO SPEC COMPUTERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE BEYOND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIABILITY FOR PRODUCTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR SOFTWARE. SOME STATES (OR JURISDICTIONS) DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION WILL NOT APPLY TO YOU. WE WILL MAKE CONTACT TO START THE WARRANTY PROCESS IN A TIMELY MANNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW (UNDER 30 DAYS).
